Here's where to watch Game of Thrones in Vancouver on Sundays

Apr 9 2019, 6:21 am

Well folks, winter is actually here now.

And on Sunday, we must brace ourselves for the final season premier of Game of Thrones.

Of course you could watch it at home, huddled on the couch rocking back and forth as the White Walkers appear on screen.

But where’s the fun in that?

Instead why not join a rag tag hoard of likeminded fans and watch the season opener at a bar?

One such watering hole is downtown’s The Butcher & Bullock, which has agreed to welcome people of the Seven Kingdoms.

The pub will be hosting a viewing party every Sunday evening of the final season, starting April 14. There will be two showings: 6 pm and 9 pm.

Butcher & Bullock’s Bob Pember has been leading the Sunday night Game of Thrones ritual for the last four years.

“True GoT devotees have found out that this is the only place where you can take in all of the emotional roller coasters properly,” he told Daily Hive.

“With 13 TVs and a 202” projection screen, every seat is ideal to enjoy the epic end. No distractions, other than the gasps of your fellow fans.”

There’s also a prime rib of beef dinner feature for $21, and select bottles of wine for half price.

Fit for a king, or whoever the latest inhabitant of the Iron Throne may be.

Reservations are advised, and guests should plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to the show.

This isn’t the only eatery in town showing GOT some love.

Both the Storm Crow Alehouse and the Storm Crow Tavern will be hosting screenings for the show weekly again this year, with seatings at 5 or 8 pm.
