Dec 19 2017, 2:34 pm

Future Shop was born in 1982 right here in Vancouver, BC, opening a storefront on W. Broadway. Thirty years later, the company is Canada’s largest retailer and etailer of consumer electronics and  bringing an impressive multi-channel experience back to the Lower Mainland by opening a new store concept called “Futureshop.ca.” VancityBuzz recently toured the 5,000 sq. ft. store – it’s smallest among their 149 storefronts (an average Future Shop measure 27,000 sq. ft.). The new store carries the top 1,000 or so products and has tablets and desktop computers spread throughout their stores and staff to purchase upwards to 60,000 skus through their website. It has an open and modern feel to it, with clean sightlines. The Futureshop.ca store officially opens tomorrow, Friday, November 2 at 10:00 a.m. PST.

“We are pleased to invite customers in the lower mainland to experience our incredible multi-channel retail storefront, combining the strengths of our knowledgeable Product Experts and brick-and-mortar stores, with our robust eCommerce and mCommerce offerings,” said Sanath Munasinghe, Vice President of Store Design,  Construction and Properties, Future Shop. “Not only can customers purchase our top selling products in-store, they can order line extensions and our expanded assortment, such as baby care, tools, furniture and luggage with the convenience of shipping to a preferred address, or next day pickup.”
