On March 12, The Portside Pub, Gastown’s newest pub and music venue, will launch Funny Sh*t, a bi-monthly variety comedy show with hosts Seany Guys and Billy Botox. The launch of Funny Sh*t will feature a special performance by The Sunday Service, Ivan Decker and Hayley Bee along with musical guests, Vincent Parker and Lucy’s Yayo.
Seany Guys and Billy Botox are a local Vancouver comedy duo otherwise known as Game Genies best known for their YouTube channel, irollvideo. The pair will be hosting the three-hour comedy night with comedians Brendan Bourque, Nate Dales, Jon Marshall, and Jerry Pender at The Portside Pub every other Tuesday with absurdly amusing sketches, impromptu improv, sidesplitting stand-up and much more.
The three-level pub is the latest undertaking by entrepreneur Mark Brand. Originally from the east coast, Brand grew up with a strong pub culture that he wanted to see replicated in Vancouver. Set in the heart of Gastown, The Portside Pub is located in a historic building renovated with reclaimed anchors, ropes and wood for an authentic nautical atmosphere.Offering one of the city’s best selections of craft beers together with a twist of the traditional pub menu, The Portside Pub is Vancouver’s friendliest pub.
