A strong arctic outflow will arrive at the southern regions of British Columbia later in the day and prevail for at least a week.
According to Environment Canada, beginning on Monday in Metro Vancouver, the temperature will hover at the freezing mark with a low of -6°C and a high of 3°C at daytime. Temperatures will be between 5 to 10°C below seasonal.
Sunny conditions are expected to persist for most of the week until Thursday evening when a Pacific frontal system arrives, bringing the possibility of snowfall during the weekend.
The arctic outflow influence is not expected to leave the region until early next week.
