Free Symphony in the Park concert brings Star Wars to Burnaby

Good news Star Wars fans! The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is again playing a free concert at Deer Lake Park – and this year it includes some pretty epic movie scores.

Symphony in the Park, presented by the City of Burnaby, will take place on Sunday, July 10 and feature a range of popular classics conducted by Tania Miller.

It will also feature John Williams’ beautiful score from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Michael Giacchino’s dramatic main theme from Star Trek: Into Darkness.

The concert starts at 7 pm and takes place on the grass behind the Shadbolt Centre, so bring a picnic blanket or chair and settle in for the evening.
