While Vancouver’s been Salsa-stepping on Granville Street at the endless Latin festivals, one company’s been hard at work in Cuba leading exclusive tours, getting tanned, and training for hours a day, boot-camp style from some of the best professional dancers in Cuba.
Latidos Productions Cuban dance academy just turned 5 years old, and are celebrating with a free workshop to showcase some of the new dance styles they’ve brought from Cuba (which are all about women’s styling) and give people a chance to try out some of the classic beginner programs: Reggaeton, Afro-Cuban Movements, and Salsa. Friends, family, and all levels are welcome. Discount cards will be given out that attendees can use for Fall programs.
When: Thursday, September 16, 2010, 9-10pm
Where: Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street and Granville Street
