As of November 24, Robson Square will finally be open for free public skating, every day at the newly renovated GE Plaza. Due to the location most likely people don’t realize there is an ice rink because it is below street level at Robson Square. Now I’m not a fan of the whole below street level concept but it does give you some reprieve from the crazyiness that is downtown. However, I want to spread the word and make this quasi square work. You can bring your own skates or rent them for $3 on site. If you aren’t confident in your skating ability you can also rent a helmet for $3. Rentals are free to anyone 12 and under. For more information on our feelings on Robson Square check out our old post.
