Free Outdoor Movies Vancouver 2015 at Stanley Park schedule

One of the most popular summertime events in Vancouver returns! The Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park – “in the park after dark” free outdoor movies – returns every Tuesday from July 7 to August 25.

The site will be outfitted with a four-storey inflatable movie screen, transforming the area into a magical outdoor cinema within a matter of hours, fit for thousands of Vancouverites to visit and watch flicks throughout the summer.

“Stanley Park is the jewel in the crown of Vancouver, and has proven to be one of the most perfect locations to host a free summer movie night that the whole family can enjoy,” says Jason Bashnick, Fresh Air Cinema festival organizer.

“Watching an outdoor movie in Stanley Park is a true Vancouver experience that’s special to so many people,” says Shan Parmar, Director of Evo Car Share. “Evo is all about the B.C. lifestyle such as cycling, skiing, and this summer, attending the outdoor movie event with friends.”

After over 4,400 readers took part in our Viewers’ Choice Flick Pick contest, Steven Spielberg’s 1993 hit Jurassic Park has come out on top to make this year’s movie lineup.

As a general reminder, please bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs. Please also keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event – smoking or alcohol is not permitted. Attendees are encouraged to walk, take transit or ride a bike to the show. There will be a bike valet service offered on site each night well.

Lawn seating at Ceperley Meadow is free with plenty of space – but if you want a good spot to watch the evening flick, be sure to get there early as it’s first-come-first-serve seating. Be there early and take party in the many fun pre-show activities, including games, prizes and giveaways, weekly offering of food truck fair and classic movie treats.
