How to get a FREE pint of ice cream after donating blood in Vancouver

One of our favourite local ice cream makers, Rain or Shine, is offering its “pint for a pint” promotion later this month.
This means those who donate blood are eligible to redeem a FREE pint of ice cream on a select date, but only if they complete a couple of steps before visiting the Canadian Blood Services’ Blood Donor Clinic.

Ice cream lovers must first pick up a card at the brand’s UBC, Kitsilano, or Cambie Street locations before donating blood (limited quantities, while supplies last), and then bring the card to the Canadian Blood Services’ Blood Donor Clinic (4750 Oak Street) on the day they donate to get their card verified.
Patrons can then return to one of the three Rain or Shine locations on January 31 to get their free pint of ice cream.
This is the only day the initiative will be applicable, so mark your calendars and be sure to get your cards before you donate so you’ll be guaranteed a sweet treat at the end of the month.
