The international students studying at the Canadian College at 1050 Alberni Street, have created a website www.freefortheathletes.com which is catching on and many businesses, individuals, groups are offering discounts and free stuff for the Olympic athletes.
I know there are lots of wonderful business people out their that might want to look into this, thus I’ve posted the information on the Buzz. If you are interested in participating here is the link to post your discount.
The website is the brainchild of the students and everything is done by them on a volunteer or class assignment basis – website development, marketing, promotion, etc..
This is an excellent “true Olympic spirit” initiative which makes a great news story. Did you know that in Ancient Greece the Olympians were given everything free by the townspeople.
