10 things to do in the Fraser Valley this month

With a new year comes a yearning for new experiences. We all know how much the city of Vancouver has to offer but the often-overlooked Fraser Valley has many special events and activities going on as well. Here is a look at what’s happening in the Abbotsford and Mission area in the month of January.

Weekly events

Fit 4 Two: Drop-in Stroller Fitness

  • What: Abbotsford Highstreet Mall features activities perfect for parents with toddlers.
  • When: Monday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
  • Where: Meet in the Marshall’s lobby
  • Cost: Free!

Also at Highstreet Mall on Tuesdays Story Time and Crafts at 9:30 a.m.

Abbotsford Learning Plus Society

This event features a wide variety of topics and speakers.

  • When: Tuesday and Thursday at 10am – 12 pm
  • Where: Abbotsford Recreation Centre
  • Cost: $5 per session plus $2 ARC drop-in fee.

Scandinavian Club of the Fraser Valley Pot Luck Dinners

  • When: Second Monday of each month (January 12) at 6 p.m.

  • When: January 19 at 7 p.m.

Robbie Burns Supper in Support of Cops for Cancer: Dinner & Dance

Arts Cub Theatre presents The ODD Couple
