Canadian clothing brand Frank And Oak is shuttering several stores across the country, including two Vancouver locations.
In a statement, a spokesperson confirmed that as of April 10, the Montreal-based retailer has planned upcoming store closures due to ongoing proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
The company filed for creditor protection for the second time in January and requested significant debt relief of $71 million.
The spokesperson said 10 stores in Quebec, Ontario, and B.C. are confirmed to close by the first week of May.
This includes the Vancouver stores on West 4th in Kitsilano and on Cordova Street in downtown.
The other stores impacted by closures include:
- Place St. Foy in Quebec City, Que.
- Carrefour Laval in Laval, Que.
- Dix30 in Brossard, Que.
- Stanley St. Men’s and Women’s in Montreal, Que.
- St. Viateur Men’s and Women’s in Montreal, Que.
- CF Rideau Centre, Ottawa, Ont.
“Beyond these closures, the Company will continue to share additional details regarding additional impacted locations, closure timelines, and customer accommodations, including final sales events,” stated the spokesperson.
“Court proceedings in relation to the Notice of Intention (NOI) filed by the Company in December 2024 are still ongoing, and further information will be updated as it becomes available.”
They added that a liquidation sale would take place, and all sales would be final once it started.

Frank And Oak said its retail website will continue to operate during this time.
