Forget Tinder: new sex-free Cuddlr app embraces cuddling with strangers

Looking for different type of hook up? Similar to Tinder and Grindr, Cuddlr is a new type of app that allows you to meet strangers with no strings attached – but it isn’t meant for reaching any of the four (or five) sex bases.

The location-based iOS app launched earlier this month as a way to connect compatible people who also want a cuddle. Of course, things could always go a step further.

The app is free for download on iTunes and provides the real-time walking distance, first name, picture, and history of the individual – whether they have had any successful or problematic past cuddles.

Users have just 15 minutes to respond to an invitation after it has been delivered. Only short messages are permitted to be exchanged to provide the location and time of the hug.

Following a cuddle, users can rate their cuddle partner with a thumbs-up if everything goes smoothly. They can also report the user if they never showed up or the experience was too grabby.
