Local walking tour company Forbidden Vancouver is staging its annual murder mystery special event, Who Killed Kraft Bier, on Sunday, September 4. It’s your chance to meet a cast of cunning suspects, enjoy some of the city’s finest craft beer, and solve a grisly murder on the streets of historic Mount Pleasant. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Audience members are detectives, working in groups of up to 12 to crack the case. They must meet the mysterious ‘Man with the White Feather’ at Broadway-City Hall SkyTrain to begin their investigation. They’ll then venture through Mount Pleasant to find the suspects and unravel their web of deceit, finishing their investigation with a dramatic finale inside the legendary Fox Cabaret.
Detective squads depart every 20 minutes from noon until 3:30 pm. The investigation lasts two to three hours, and tickets are $59 (plus tax) per person. The ticket includes three glasses of locally-brewed craft beer, provided by local breweries Stanley Park Brewing and Main Street Brewing – solving a murder can be thirsty work after all!
