Forbes ranks nine BC employers among top 100 in Canada | Daily Hive

Business-focused media company Forbes came out with its annual list of Canada’s best employers Tuesday, and nine BC-based companies made the list.

If you’re looking for a new role in 2025, these companies and government agencies could be good places to start. They received the nod of approval because former employees surveyed said they’d recommend working there. The ranking took into account salary, flexibility, training, and opportunities to advance.

BC Hydro

This utility provider for the province offers a ton of perks to be excited about. Employees start with a minimum of 15 paid vacation days, they get $2,750 per year for mental health spending, parental leave top-up, and a guaranteed pension. There are 121 vacant positions right now.

WorkSafeBC

This agency is tasked with promoting worker safety across the province, including monitoring for safety violations and investigating when injuries happen. It offers tuition reimbursement for job-related courses and other benefits.

This Vancouver-headquartered athleisure brand ranked 15th on Forbes‘ list of Canada’s best employers. Right now, 87 positions based in BC are available.

Onni Group

This real estate development company ranked 51 on Forbes’ list of Canada’s best employers. It has 24 open positions in Vancouver right now, from an AI developer to an investment associate.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar

This popular restaurant chain is headquartered right here in the Lower Mainland and earned the 59th spot in Forbes‘ Canadian ranking.

This Vancouver Island financial institute offers retirement saving assistance and banking discounts to employees.

British Columbia Institute of Technology
