The ‘Q.E Pod’, named appropriately due to its location directly beside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, features 6 of Vancouver’s newest food trucks and carts including:

  • Aussie Pie Guy – Australian savory and sweet pies
  • ChouChou Crepes – authentic French crepes.
  • Culver City Salads – fresh, vegan salads.
  • Dougie Dog Diner – gourmet hot dogs and burgers.
  • Fat Duck Mobile Eatery – urban country cooking.
  • Reel Mac And Cheese – gourmet macaroni and cheese.

Although a few of the trucks that will be calling the Q.E Pod home have been up and running since the start of summer, July 26th marks the first date that the pod will be complete with all 6 vendors serving up delicious and diverse items fresh from their trucks and carts.

“The pod will please a diverse audience…[it’s] great for Vancouver – there is something for everyone,” said Tavis Olsen, owner of Fat Duck Mobile Eatery.

The Q.E Pod grand opening celebrations will feature contests, giveaways and unique offerings from each truck. Customers also have the chance to try out every truck for free by entering to win a meal from each Q.E Pod vendor!

The idea of a food truck pod was inspired by Portland, the city that is credited by many as the forefront for food truck culture. The Q.E Pod has been dubbed as a daily, mini-food cart festival and Vancouver’s outdoor food court.

Hours: 11 am – 3 pm (plus or minus an hour depending on the truck)

Note: Not all trucks will participate everyday, however, most of them will be there on a daily basis.
