Food.ee App Launch Giveaway

Dec 19 2017, 1:12 pm

The people over at Invoke are crazy about food. After launching Eat St. in April, the Vancouver based digital agency is launching another cuisine-focused app. This one, called Food.ee is a new way of thinking about food. A web app designed to easily discover delicious take out and delivery food online. To celebrate the launch they’ve given us a $20.00 gift certificate to Nikkyu Japanese Restaurant, on main street

“Food.ee is different than other online food services because we believe that customers don’t want 1,000 food options, they want eight that matter to them” said Jon Cartwright, Food.ee CEO. “It’s all about curating food ordering by way of what users’ friends are recommending and the users’ personal taste graphs. It’s going to get to know a customer’s tastes based on past orders, diet, and what’s hot near them.”

The app is available via the web, with plans to expand into mobile. It has a database of Vancouver, B.C. restaurants, and the number of restaurant partners continues to grow, both locally and internationally as the app prepares to spread to other Canadian and American cities.

Food.ee is designed to make ordering takeout or delivery easy, intuitive and social. The website app gets to know users and curates recommendations based on past purchases, what friends have eaten, and the data in a personal profile of tastes and preferences. Additionally, a geo-location tool provides the most relevant recommendations to allow users to discover what is nearby for a quick hunger fix. The website will also includes a Discover section where users can read about featured restaurants, other foodees, and get updates to the application as they happen.
