Owners of the popular neighbourhood coffee shop Bean Around The World are planning to reopen their Main and 20th location next year (which closed July 30, 2017), but with a whole new name and look.

Foglifter Coffee Roasters will be on the sign of the popular community gathering place, and its slated to open October 2019.

The Shawnigan Lake-based coffee roasters will open a new venue in Landa Global Properties redevelopment, a four-storey, 42-unit boutique condo project that will house Foglifter at street level.

The new shop will open with its signature line of coffee along with small-batch bean roasted by the owners, the Nicolettis, on Vancouver Island.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming Foglifter back into the neighbourhood,” says Landa Global Properties CEO, Kevin Cheung. “They were an institution and I know they have been sorely missed by the community. It was a popular gathering place for people of all ages in the area, and I know residents will be excited to have them back.”

Offerings at the spot will include an array of pastries, cold brews, kombucha, teas, and quick bites like sandwiches.

We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date for this new spot.
