The much-anticipated FlyOver Canada attraction opens at Canada Place this Canada Day long weekend on Saturday, June 29!
It is Vancouver’s answer to the popular Soarin’ Over California experience at Disney California Adventure Park. FlyOver Canada has two components – a pre-show designed by Moment Factory and the main feature attraction, the actual “FlyOver Canada” experience filmed by Sherpas Cinema.
Passengers will be strapped into their seats and hydraulics will lift them in front of a massive 20-metre half-spherical dome screen that will simulate a soarin’ experience over numerous sites across the country, including Parliament Hill, Niagara Falls, icebergs, Canada Place, and many more.
The attraction cost $16-million to develop, which included the conversion of Canada Place’s old IMAX theatre and a cross-country film production project that utilized helicopters and planes to film stunning high-definition aerial scenes.

In total, the entire FlyOver Canada experiences runs 30-minutes in length. General admission at the gate is $19.95 for adults; $17.95 for seniors, students, and youth; and $14.95 for children. However, if you book online beforehand, you get a discounted price.

Canada Day Fireworks Viewing Zone at FlyOver Canada
FlyOver Canada is hosting a Canada Day party during this year’s Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks show on Monday, July 1! From 8 pm until 11 pm, enjoy your Canada Day fireworks at the FlyOver Canada party: get a behind-the-scenes look at the attraction, ride the ride, hear stories from the creative team, enjoy a Vera’s burger, drink in the hangar, and view the 10:30 pm Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks from FlyOver Canada’s Flight Deck at the upper promenade of Canada Place.
Fireworks party admission is $45 for adults, $35 for children, and free for ages 3 and under. Passes can be purchased at Tickets Tonight. Celebrate your Canadian pride by “flying over” Canada!
