A city block-long section of West 2nd Avenue under the Cambie Street Bridge is currently closed due to a flood.
The cause of the flood was from a water main rupture at the South Creek Landing construction site on Cambie Street. Passersby reported that the water was a foot deep in some areas.
SkyTrain service at Olympic Village Station has not been impacted.
The closed off section was part of this morning’s Vancouver Sun Run route.
I was surprised to have to ford a mighty river on my way home. Need a new bridge at Cambie and 2nd #Vancouver pic.twitter.com/AzShWQdZ99
