Fjällräven opens first Canadian retail location in Vancouver

Just in time to welcome spring, Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven will bring its high quality, hard wearing equipment and apparel to Vancouver with the launch of its first Canadian retail location: a new 3,000 square foot store, located in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Vancouver is the first new location of 2014, building on the brand’s success opening five retail locations in North America last year.

Following the brand philosophies set in 1960, the Vancouver location will aim to create a base camp where consumers of all abilities can find exceptional equipment and receive advice from staff on outdoor adventures and activities. The urban explorer will find award winning outerwear, gear, and backpacks that will improve their experience no matter the conditions or activity; from city to summit.

Designed to complement Fjällräven’s rugged aesthetics and bring forth elements from its Swedish heritage, the space will feature clean fixtures and displays in ash wood. The store opens to the public with a curated selection of functional outerwear, apparel, backpacks and accessories, along with lightweight silhouettes for spring. Additionally, the store will carry a select product offering from complementing brands, including Fjällräven sister brands Hanwag, Primus and Brunton.
