Five BC Lions named 2015 CFL All-Stars

The BC Lions had a disappointing season in 2015, but the year will end off on a positive note for at least five of their players.

Adam Bighill, Jovan Olafioye, Andrew Harris, Emmanuel Arceneaux, and Richie Leone have earned CFL All-Star status this season. Remarkably, no other CFL team received more All-Star selections (5) than the BC Lions this season.

Bighill had a career year, leading the CFL in tackles and winning the Outstanding Defensive Player Award nearly two weeks ago.

Jovan Olafioye was the runner-up for the Most Outstanding Offensive Linemen Award this year. His All-Star nod makes five-straight, which is the longest active streak in the CFL.

Andrew Harris finished second in league rushing yards with 1,039 yards on 233 carries and 7 touchdowns. This is Harris’ second All-Star selection.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux has been named an All-Star for the first time in his CFL career. He finished fourth in receiving yards with 76 receptions for 1,151 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2015.

Richie Leone has also been named a CFL All-Star for the first time in his career, after leading the league with a base punting average of 49.5 yards and net average of 38.3 yards.
