TV, magazines and newspapers from all over the world are already talking about A Perfect 14 while the filming is still in progress.

The Huffington Post calls this film “one of the most important projects in the fashion world right now.” The documentary follows the stories of three famous plus-size models Elly Mayday, Laura Wells and Kerosene Deluxe, who share their personal experiences of challenges and successes to help empower themselves and others to eradicate the currently held standards of beauty.

This film explores the fascinating world of plus-size modelling and the women involved who are fighting to reshape the fashion industry and the beauty standards of society. Giovanna Morales and James Earl O’Brien, two filmmakers from Vancouver, just pitched their film at Toronto’s Hot Docs, one of the most important documentary film festivals in the world. The film has already been approached to be purchased by several broadcasters and the number of views on their teaser trailer have reached over 180,000 in just over a month.

Already having filmed in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, the two filmmakers are next headed to fashion meccas such as London, Milan, Paris and New York to talk to the fashion industry leaders and the biggest names in the plus-size world.
