"Fifty Shades" of parenting books written by Vancouver locals

Dec 19 2017, 6:32 pm

Pink and blue are the newest colours to be broken down into fifty shades, this time in parenting books written by two Vancouver locals.

The parodied parenting books Fifty Shades of Pink and Fifty Shades of Blue will be written and illustrated in a Seussian manner spanning 50 pages each by Vancouverites Sandi Richter Cooper and Christie Anderson Matis. The books hope to capitalize on the “Fifty Shades” baby boom and “celebrate the joy and humour of parenthood,” according to the duo.

Vancouver is also tied to the movie version of the original Fifty Shades of Grey, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, which was filmed in the city and is slated for release during next year’s Valentine’s Day weekend.
