The two sequels to 2015’s blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation will begin to shoot in Metro Vancouver in February.

The back-to-back productions, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Free, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, will shoot from February 15 to July 12 and are set to be released in theatres in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

There is no word on specific locations for shooting, but the production code for the films, and what may appear on those bright yellow and pink “to set” signs around town, is “Further Adventures of Max and Banks 2 & 3.”

The first Fifty Shades of the trilogy was released in February 2015 and filmed in Vancouver from 2013 to 2014. It made a recorded $570.5 million at the box office.
