The atmosphere of the FIFA Women’s World Cup is not to be missed. With Canada having a solid chance at making it to the final, the city is gearing up for one hell of a party, and because so many of the matches are played on our home turf, viewing opportunities are endless.
BC Place will play host to nine games with the first two Monday night in an exciting double-header. Another double-header on Friday leads into the much anticipated Nigeria vs. United States game on Tuesday and then onto the preliminary finals with rounds of 16. Vancouver will also host a Quarter Final match on June 27, then the tournament will reach a fever pitch on July 5 as two teams go head-to-head for the World Cup.
If a ticket to stand field-side isn’t an option, the City of Vancouver is hosting an impressive Fan Zone at Larwill Park Downtown, screening many matches and entertaining guests with musical performances, soccer games and other activities.

For those not in the mood to handle the crowds, or simply want to make good use of that big screen at home, all games will be broadcast on TSN or CTV. Check out the complete television schedule here.

Tickets to one of the matches at BC Place are hot on the market, with few left for popular matches like Nigeria vs. USA and the Final on July 5. To really experience the atmosphere of the World Cup, a stadium seat is the way to go.

The City of Vancouver and FIFA are inviting everyone to join them at the FREE Fan Zone at Cambie and Georgia during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015.
Twelve days of free, family-friendly soccer celebrations are planned to welcome the world and share the spirit of the World Cup with Vancouverites and visitors alike.

What can you expect at the Fan Zone? Activities will include:
- Big screens: Live soccer match broadcasts on a big screen.
- Live music: Great local acts reflecting diversity and strong female performers will be showcased on the main stage
- Soccer demos: Exhibition soccer tournaments will take place, and professional freestyle footballer Laura Biondo will perform three 15-minute sets daily.
- Meet the athletes: Daily player appearances are your chance to get autographs. Plus, meet the mascots!
- Hands-on activities: Test your soccer skills with shoot out games, reaction challenge, skills drills with SFU & UBC women’s soccer coaches and more! Plus, visit the FIFA Fan Experience to learn about the history of soccer and more.
- Food and drink: Look for an array of food trucks themed by the countries playing that day, plus purchase beer in the main area. Free Coca Cola samples are available at the Perfect Serve tent.
- Contests and giveaways: Tweet a photo with the #VanFanZone hashtag and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to a Women’s World Cup game!
