Name and Twitter handle: Olivia Lovenmark, @StyleStruck

Occupation: Blogger at StyleStruck.ca, Entrepreneur, Creator & Prez of LOVE + MARK’D Stationery.

A notable moment on Twitter? In 2009 Vancouver’s Mat Wilcox and I shared a Twitter conversation. At the time I had big PR dreams and I was just over the moon to be sharing words with Mat. Recently one of my favourite fashion bloggers, Blair of Atlantic Pacific in San Francisco, tweeted a picture of my stationery – that was awesome.

Your best Tweet: I think it has yet to come.

What did you want to be growing up? A fashion magazine editor. At twelve I created my own magazine titled “The New Girl Times,” a play on “The New York Times,” and I wrote a story of my fashion future in my seventh grade writing class. It was fashion, or nothing!

If you could have dinner with 1 person (live or dead) who would it be? Dean Martin. Preferably from when he was at the high point of Rat Pack fame. I wouldn’t want to ask a lot of questions, just have a relaxed dinner and perhaps he’d sing for me… Deano was a real joker, I just love that wit.

Your claim to fame: My writing! (I hope.) My near complete collection of Vogues, beginning in 2007 when I realized Vogue was a must-have. And newly, my stationery company: LOVE + MARK’D!

Do you know of a hidden gem in our city? I adore brunch and martinis at Bacchus at the Wedgewood hotel. For the ladies who love pretty home decor, Take Me Home Decor in North Vancouver will knock your socks off. Thierry Chocolaterie on Alberni St. for macarons and Blue Bird, also on Alberni for fabulous designer pieces you won’t find anywhere else.

If you were a superhero, who would you be and why? I would be Dorothy Gale of The Wizard of Oz with the magic ruby slippers. I realize she isn’t a real superhero, but she did save the tinman, the lion and the scarecrow from un-fulfilled personal lives, and she could transport with the click of her high heels. That’s my kind of super babe.

If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why? Broccoli, because it versatile (delicious steamed, raw and boiled), goes well with others (mmm with mashed potatoes) and is nice to look at: it looks like a mini tree.

Recommend a fellow Twitterer that deserves some recognition? @JamieLaurenPH. Jamie Lauren is a fantastic photographer based out of West Vancouver who captures such beautiful and natural moments. I’ve worked with her a couple times and she is just brilliant behind the lens, and new to Twitter! Also @MsFuckCancer: Yael Cohen, the young lady who is founder and president of Fuck Cancer (a registered charity that is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of early detection for all cancers).

Describe yourself in 3 words: Colourful, imaginative and a dash of old-fashioned. (It’s very likely I was a well-dressed elderly woman in my past life.)
