Occupation: Independent singer /songwriter/performer. I’m currently co-leading the stage with a few local bands – Groove&Tonic and the Soul Sistahs, and recording original music in Alberta. I’m also a part-time corporate booking agent for Turner Music.

Definitely today (after being chosen to be the anthem singer for the Whitecaps). All the love from friends, family and people I haven’t even met yet is filling my heart. It’s almost spilling over! So thankful 🙂

What did you want to be growing up?
A singer and performer like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. I’m working my way towards that dream!
If you could have dinner with 1 person (live or dead) who would it be?
Steve Nash. Not only is he one talented basketball player (I also play basketball), but he is one heck of a business man. I could learn a lot from him. Crossing my fingers that I get to meet him one day. I guess I’m one step closer than I was yesterday!
Your claim to fame:
My voice! It’s gotten me this far! I’ve also had the opportunity to perform my craft overseas in Asia, so the experience on stage coupled with my voice was probably the advantage in the Whitecaps selection. Shout-outs to the friends and fans out in Macau and Hong Kong!
Do you know of a hidden gem in our city?
Not really a “hidden” gem because people know about it, but on a nice sunny spring day, I love walking my Husky along Kits Beach all the way to Vanier Park. Breathtaking city views and the dog loves to romp around in the sand and water. Shhh, don’t tell the animal control officers that I walk him off-leash!
If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?
I would have the power to transport myself anywhere at anytime! That would save so much time! As soon as the rain shows it’s wet self, I could be in Hawaii in a second!
If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why?
Gai Lan, because It’s a Chinese veggie (I’m Chinese), and because it’s delicious!

@danielleow not only because she’s my BFF, but because she’s got some business sense! She co-owns and operates frockswap.ca which is a bi-annual clothing swap event that benefits local charity organizations.
