What did you want to be growing up?
An Olympic track & field star. Running is hard though, so here I am.
If you could have dinner with 1 person (live or dead) who would it be?
Richard Branson – the guy is a bazillionaire and seems pretty level-headed. I think some business coaching/tips from him personally could be hugely beneficial.
Your claim to fame:
I had the opportunity to train at the Calgary Olympic Oval in 2006 alongside long-track speedskating champions like Clara Hughes, Jeremy Wotherspoon, Denny Morrison and Cindy Klassen, as an Own The Podium hopeful for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games. I didn’t make the final cut, but I was one of only 30 athletes selected for the training camp, and the experience showed me how much it takes to be a champion in your sport, on and off the ice.
Do you know of a hidden gem in our city?
The Narrow Pub on Main St. Secret entrance and great drinks. Plus they spin old-school vinyl on request.
If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?
Definitely Iron Man. Being that rich and powerful with such a bad-ass flying suit would be second to none.
If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why?
Cucumber. So versatile. Great with a little salt too.

I would love to give a shout out to my buddy BJ Newton (@bjrnewton). He’s new on the Twitter scene and doesn’t have that many followers, but he’s committed to the cause, and his tweets are pretty damn funny.
