Everything you need to know about the FDU Vancouver grand opening

Vancouver has long been a hub for education, cultural connection, and dynamic minds. And this is even more true now that Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) has opened a brand-new campus at Oakridge Park.

FDU is a not-for-profit comprehensive university that believes education should be personal, global, and transformative. This means students can benefit from small class sizes, diverse perspectives, and unique programs designed to meet the needs of today’s global economy.

The Oakridge Park location joins FDU’s Florham and Metropolitan campuses, both in New Jersey. The expansion strengthens FDU’s commitment to industry collaboration and workforce development in B.C.

The Oct. 15 ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together Members of Parliament Parm Bains and Jake Sawatzky, then-Mayor of Vancouver Ken Sim, Vancouver City Councillor Rebecca Bligh, and FDU leadership.

And what’s a global university without global guests? Representatives from the Consulates General of Argentina, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Switzerland also attended the celebration to mark an important milestone for FDU Vancouver’s investment here in B.C.

The other days included the Distinguished Alumni Awards & Industry Networking Night, a High School Counsellor Appreciation Event, and a Partner & Agent Appreciation Reception.
