Pedestrian killed in morning hit-and-run in Surrey

Police are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Surrey’s Whalley area.

According to the Surrey RCMP, the incident took place on Thursday morning at approximately 3:30 am.

Emergency Health Services (EHS) say they found “an unconscious man in the middle of the roadway,” located at the intersection of 115 Avenue and 132 Street.

First responders attempted to rescue the man but unfortunately, he passed away due to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

Police say that the involved vehicle and driver failed to remain at the scene of the crash.

RCMP’s Collision Investigation Team and a Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are currently on the scene, which is expected to be closed to traffic for several hours.
