Fashion Fix: 424 Fifth

Dec 19 2017, 6:05 pm

When iconic Canadian company Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor, the upscale retailer in the USA, set out to create a new private label, they looked to the expertise of Chief Creative Officer Marie Holman Rao (formerly of PINK, Body by Victoria Secret and past president of Banana Republic).

The result is 424 Fifth – named for Lord & Taylor’s iconic Manhattan address – a private collection that is exclusive ‘ours’ says Marie, where you’ll find fashion basics that can be easily mixed and matched to take you from day to night.

The coveted lifestyle collection brings together some of the best of fashion: classic silhouettes (with a modern twist), quality fabrics, pops of colours…all with an affordable price tag. The line ranges from $29 to $300 (with coats going for $164) with an average price of $78 that was priced intentionally to ‘avoid buyers remorse’, says Marie Holman Rao.

We for one are excited. There is a resounding consensus that the line brings together stylish pieces that are well designed and well priced for every day wear.

Here are some of our favourite looks grouped together by receptive elements we spotted within the line.
