UPDATE: Fare gates experiencing systemwide technical issues, riders trapped in stations

This is not an April Fools’ joke. At this time, all fare gates at SkyTrain stations are experiencing technical issues.
Transit users are unable to enter or leave the stations and terminals as all gates are closed.
Technicians are working on fixing the Compass Card and fare gate systems as soon as possible.
- UPDATE at 1:36 p.m. – TransLink now says the fare gate issue has been fixed. The problem began just after 1 p.m. and affected Expo and Millennium line stations.
Fare gates are scheduled to begin their full closure on Monday, April 4.
