Since you can count on rain this weekend, you’re probably looking for some indoors fun for your family to enjoy this Halloween. To help you plan ahead here are nine great Halloween events taking place in Langley, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack.
Children up to the age of six are invited to wear their costumes and enjoy craft making, cookie decorating, story time, and more at this family event offered by the Township of Langley.

Trick or treat at Fort Langley National Historic Site while you enjoy Halloween concerts from Bobs and Lolo and discover surprises along the way. Get your face painted, make a craft, and take a tour the spooky servants’ quarters.

Registration for the popular and lively trick-or-treat parade begins at 3:30 p.m. at selected mall entrances.

Cost: $2 each
Visit Abbotsford’s famous haunted Trethewey House and enjoy a free family-fun event. There’s a costume contest at 3:30 p.m. so arrive in time to participate.
When: October 31, 1 to 5 p.m.

Enjoy family-fun events including swimming, skating, and gym activities.

Enjoy a safe, warm, and dry place to bring your ghosties for goodies. Look for the orange pumpkin at participating retailers and collect treats while quantities last.

Featuring a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast followed by a Halloween tale from author Robert Heidbreder, check out the Halloween Family Fun on offer at the Royal Hotel and make sure to stay for the costume parade.

Dress up to win prizes in the costume contest, join the spooky scavenger hunt, play Halloween bingo and other games, and enjoy a magic show from magician Damien Carriere.

Cost: $25 per family
Perfect for families looking for a Halloween alternative, South Abbotsford Church is hosting an all-ages party with a costume contest and loads of candy. There will be a band and a speaker.
When: October 31, 6 to 9 p.m.
