Earlier this spring, we reported that Facebook is opening up an office in Vancouver. Naturally, people were excited, however, the office is supposedly only temporary. Now, Techvibes is reporting that the Facebook Vancouver office will be located in Coal Harbour and not in the tech hubs of Gastown, Yaletown or even Mount Pleasant.
The 20,000 square foot office will be located at 1555 West Pender and is expected to open sometime this month. They have signed a three year lease, a possible indication that company will be here a lot longer than a year, as previously reported.
The office will serve to train recent software engineering grads for potential full-time employment with the company.
