Update: Some users are reporting that everything is back to normal.
Many users are experiencing technical difficulties with Facebook this morning.
Those with issues are reporting that they are unable to update their status, post a comment, or “like” anything on Facebook (both on the desktop and mobile version). The cause of the outage is unknown, Facebook is well aware of the issue and looking into it.
When users attempt to post on the site an error message appears: “An error occurred. Please try again in a few minutes.”
This has spawned many to go on to twitter and proclaim the death of Facebook with the #RIPFacebook hashtag trending worldwide. Obviously, Facebook is not going anywhere but leave it to social media to have a little fun with a first world problem.
