There's a delay on the Expo Line at Nanaimo Station due to technical issues

TransLink’s Expo Line SkyTrain is experiencing a service disruption due to a technical issue at Nanaimo Station this morning.

Trains are currently using one side of the tracks, so customers can expect delays travelling along the Expo Line.

Customers travelling between Colombia and Production Way will need to switch trains, according to the transit authority.

Millennium Line and Canada Line are unaffected, and running normally. Additional staff are at the stations to ensure passenger safety and crowd control.

Additional buses are being provided from Commercial Broadway to Waterfront. Expo line service is still running; however customers will experience delays.

Translink says crews are now working hard to restore full service.

Riders requiring alternative routes are encouraged to consult Translink’s online Trip Planner.

Update: The Expo Line is resuming full service, however, riders should expect longer than normal wait times between trains.

Expect crowds to dissipate as train frequency returns to normal.
