The most expensive university campus housing in Canada

As if final exams and tuition aren’t bad enough, now you can add housing to the list of student stresses.

Maclean’s Magazine recently published a comprehensive list of the most expensive on-campus housing in the country, and the results are not what you might think.

Sliding in at number one is Royal Roads University on Vancouver Island, where living on-campus will cost you a whopping $2,334 a month.

There is no correlation between the prestige of the school and the cost of living in student housing.

All costs are based on averages and utilities are taken into account.

If you are looking to save a few pennies and have recently brushed up on your French, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières has the cheapest housing at $289 a month.

UBC is currently exploring options to make housing cheaper, including the introduction of micro units that are 145 square feet and will cost around $679-$690 per month.
