If you’re an Evo customer, you may want to take note of a few changes coming into place, including a slight fee increase.

Evo confirmed with Daily Hive Vancouver that it would be decreasing its damage deductible for at-fault accidents from $1,000 to $250. The car share company added it will also increase its “all access fee per trip” from $1.25 to $1.85.

The all-access fee is different from Evo’s per-minute, daily, and hourly rates, which have not been impacted.

“We heard from Members that they were worried about being on the hook for $1,000 unexpectedly. Increasing the All Access fee by a small amount enables us to drop our deductible to $250 and help people avoid a big expense,” said Evo in a statement to Daily Hive Vancouver.

According to its website, Evo is “insured with full comprehensive and collision insurance, as well as Third Party Liability insurance.”

The company also confirmed that it is not making any changes to its driving rates, “which will continue to include parking, fuel, and unlimited kilometres.”

Evo added that the change in deductibles is a pilot project effective from February 12, 2025.
