Get behind the wheel of more than 50 new EV models at world-leading Vancouver expo

An electric vehicle expo is returning to Vancouver’s Convention Centre this fall for its third year running — and it looks even bigger and better than before.
Everything Electric, powered by BC Hydro Power smart, will take place from Friday, Sept. 5, to Sunday, Sept. 7, and feature a massive EV test drive experience and display.
There will also be live expert-led panels, home energy product showcases, and lots of other visitor attractions. And the best part? Daily Hive readers can get 20 per cent off tickets by using the code HIVE20. Kids under 15 get in free!
Here’s a closer look at what to expect.
Sit in the driver’s seat
With hundreds of exhibitors and EVs on show, plus over 50 available to test drive, you’ll have the chance to explore the latest cutting-edge technology, discover the perfect model for you, and ask experts your burning questions.
Major manufacturers including Volvo, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Kia, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Edison and more will be on-site, showcasing their latest innovations. You’ll also be able to talk to the experts and see the vehicles up close, before you feel the thrill of driving them for yourself.
The test drive route navigates around Vancouver’s public roads, lasting roughly 15 to 20 minutes each, providing ample time to explore all the car’s features. Test drives will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
There’s even a dedicated test track for micro-mobility options like electric scooters, skateboards, and bikes — ideal if you’re looking for a fun and sustainable way to commute or get around the city.
More than cars
The event isn’t just about getting behind the wheel. Everything Electric will also host over 30 live theatre sessions across the three days, covering everything from EV ownership to sustainable home-energy systems and the latest developments.
One of the weekend’s main events will be a fireside chat with new BC Hydro CEO Charlotte Mitha, who’ll offer insight into the future of energy in the province.
New for 2025 is interactive Live EV Tours, where presenters deliver live reviews of the latest vehicles directly from manufacturers’ stands. Designed to draw a crowd, these dynamic sessions offer real-time insights into performance, design, and features.
And, if you’ve been thinking about upgrading your home energy setup? Drop by the “Ask An Energy Expert” zone for personalized advice tailored to your property, needs, and budget.
