4 taken into custody after evening stabbing in Abbotsford

Four individuals have been taken into custody after an evening stabbing that took place in Abbotsford.

According to an emailed statement from the Abbotsford Police Department (APD), the incident took place on Sunday at 7:07 pm, around the 1900 blocks of Riverside Road.

Police say that witnesses reported a man laying on the roadway, suffering from stab wounds.

The victim, a 50-year-old male from Abbotsford, was rushed to the hospital where he remains with non-life threatening injuries.

The APD also managed to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the stabbing. Four individuals — three women and one man — have been taken into custody.

Police say that while the case is in preliminary stages of the investigation, it’s believed that there’s no risk to the public.
