Escape game experience comes to Science World

Vancouver escape game company TIXE takes aim in The Super Villain. THE SUPER VILLAIN. A one of a kind 19+ charity event At Science World, benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

TIXE is quickly establishing itself as the biggest and most innovative escape game experience in North America with “TIXECHALLENGES”. Starting with The Super Villain, a 19+ adventure game. The adventure commences July 24 at Science World.

The Escape Games phenomenon has popped up all over the Lower Mainland in the last year. However, TIXE Representative Lucas Solmes believes: “This experience will set TIXE apart, and be one for the ages if you ever wanted to dawn a super hero mask and save the world as a kid.”

For those who don’t know, an escape room is a group challenge with a series of puzzles and clues leading your team on a path to solve a mystery. Beat the room before the time limit beats you, and earn your team’s victory.

TIXE has now taken elements of that concept, and ambitiously mixed it with wacky game show challenges from popular Korean variety show, “Running Man”.

The theme of this amazing adventure? Of course, super heroes and villains. 25 Teams of 4-6 will face a series of challenges, ranging from “Giant Beer Pong” to “BubbleSumo”. The first team to complete their challenges, reach the evil lair, and defeat the Super Villain “The Unknown” wins their place in the immense “Running Man” finale.

It is here where they will suit up, and showdown in their favourite superhero gear provided by TIXE, for the “Running Man Nametag” challenge. Games will be spread throughout Science World and surrounding Creekside Park area. Add a few drinks into the mix and you have what Solmes calls “The Amazing Race on steroids.”

Solmes is confident this event isn’t for the faint of heart: “The Challenges are definitely designed to stimulate your mind and body. Our goal for the event is to bring ultimate excitement to those up for an exhilarating challenge.”

Coca Cola will also be on hand to comfort the hearts of fallen challengers with their “Hug A Coke” machine.

The event will take place Friday, July 24 from 6:30pm – 11:30pm, followed by an after-party to celebrate the capture of The Unknown, at Republic Nightclub. Featuring a live performance from rising Atlanta sensation, ‘Metro Boomin’ with coverage from local YouTube Personalities VancityVideos.

All net proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
