Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is hiring in Metro Vancouver, and the perks are pretty amazing.
A recruitment event for cabin crew members will be held in Burnaby at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown on Friday, May 9, at 9 a.m.

“While walk-ins are accepted at Open Day events, pre-registration helps streamline the application process,” Emirates says. Emirates previously had hiring days in Metro Vancouver in April.
Emirates says it currently employs around 200 Canadian cabin crew members and over 100 Canadian pilots, and these hiring fairs will expand that even further.
While crew members can earn just over $4,000 a month, the perks genuinely add significant value to the job.
One of those perks is free company-provided housing in Dubai.
“Furnished accommodation is provided free of charge, including utilities -water, electricity. Two/three colleagues (same gender) share a two/three bedroom apartment and each have their own bedroom but share the kitchen and the living area. Two people may have to share a second bathroom in some three-bedroom apartments.”
After the probationary period is complete, employees can request a move to another apartment, pending availability.
“You may have two family members visit at the same time and stay in your accommodation twice a year for a maximum of 30 days each visit,” Emirates adds.
Employees also benefit from a tax-free salary, as there’s no income tax in the UAE.
“Meal allowances for night stops are credited to the salary in arrears the following month. Hotel accommodation as well as transport to and from the airport is provided by the company,” the Emirates careers page says.
In addition to these perks, employees also receive travel benefits for themselves and family members, fast-tracked promotions and leadership opportunities, and comprehensive medical coverage.
