A Vancouver man’s adventures in Southeast Asia are receiving some international attention after an elephant used its trunk to grab his camera and took an ‘elphie’.
Christian Leblanc told The Daily Mail that he was feeding elephants in Koh Phangan, Thailand. When his supply of bananas ran out, the animal gently took hold of his GoPro camera while it was on the time lapse setting.
Leblanc told the newspaper that the “elphie” was his “best selfie and quite possibly the best ever.”
The 22-year-old recently graduated from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He first arrived in Thailand four months ago and is now traveling the Philippines with his girlfriend.

My time in Thailand has sadly come to an end. After 4 months, I have so many awesome memories of this place and I cannot believe I had the opportunity to study here. Now off to the Philippines A photo posted by Christian LeBlanc (@christian_leblanc) on
