VCB: How did you come to start your business?
Since we were young, we’ve always experimented with different styles and looks when it came to fashion and we’ve always loved to be different. After moving to Vancouver we decided that we wanted to transform our passion for fashion into a career and the rest as they say, was history!
VCB: What has been the most challenging thing about starting your own business?
We would have to say communication, since we grew up in Korea and moved to Vancouver a few years ago, it’s been somewhat of a struggle making connections with people due to the language and cultural differences. But we think we’re getting better!
VCB: What does Ego Closet mean to you?
It’s our baby and we’re so proud of it! It stands for everything we believe in and we really think we have the potential to transform Vancouver into a leading city for fashion. We think the Egocloset girl is the example of the modern day Westcoast girl: she always looks stylish in an effortless way; she just rolls out of bed looking fabulous!
VCB: We love the brands you sell! What drives your inspiration for fashion?
We get most of our inspiration from fashion bloggers and people we see on the street. There are so many stylish people nowadays and it’s really refreshing to see how people put outfits together in their own way. Although our style is unique, our pieces are incredibly versatile and can be incorporated into anyone’s wardrobe.
