A new San Francisco-style seafood restaurant just opened in Gastown
A new spot for seafood in Vancouver quietly opened over the weekend in Gastown.
Edwards Seafood and Spirits is now open in the former space of the OG Bao Down at 12 Powell Street. The restaurant is officially operating during a soft opening for lunch and dinner service starting today, July 3.

The new eatery serves up dishes like cod and chips, hearty fish sandwiches, and other creations inspired by seafood-centric regions in the States.
Opened by the same owners as the now mostly-shuttered mini-chain Bao Down, co-owner Matt Adolfo and his business partner Executive Chef Greg Edwards told Daily Hive they had big plans to transform the former Asian fusion spot.
“We have done a complete remake of the space to give a New Orleans feel with a San Francisco style seafood menu that is focused on Pacific Northwest ingredients,” Adolfo and Edwards told us.
Keep an eye on their Instagram for official hours.
