Ebay Closing Vancouver Facility

Another 700 + jobs will be lost in our local economy as the online auction juggernaut Ebay will be closing its Lower Mainland customer service office. The company states they’ll be consolidating their North American operations and hire more staff at their Salt Lake City facility. However, I call bullshit as these jobs will be going to the Philippines or India and not Salt Lake City. I

t is sad to see people lose jobs, especially as the economy is now finally starting to see signs of stabilization.

In related news Money J Skeets was seen outside Ebay Vancouver offices attempting to hire new recruits for his Surrey pick pocket crew. Also, Beyond Robson writer Sean Orr was seen celebrating in Gastown as he sees this as means of meeting new people in the EI lineup. Moreover, look for him to point out how he predicted the demise of Ebay by linking to an old obscure reference in one of his many useless Morning Spew segments that he conjures up daily whilst practicing the fine art of sandwiches. Egregious.
