One of the best things about having the Olympics in town is the abundance of parties and events. Over the last week, local design charity, eatART, threw a series of design and energy awareness related shindigs as part of their involvement with the 2010 Cultural Olympiad. Mechanical spiders, funked out DJs, 23 foot tall tricycles and a human powered lamp post were among some of attractions at the CODE site on the Great Northern Way Campus. Sadly, the eatART parties are over for the duration of the Olympics, but if you sign up on their facebook page, it’s virtually guaranteed that you’ll get an invite to a good time, sooner rather than later.
