Hop to it, Vancouver! Easter weekend comes once a year so let’s enjoy it with the Daily Hive countdown of 25 events in and around Vancouver! Put on those bunny ears and have fun!

Hit the slopes at Cypress Mountain

  • What: After the incredible winter season that the local mountains have experienced this year, why not hit the slopes with the family this Easter? To celebrate the season Cypress Mountain is serving up a special Easter Family Pack that enables two adults and two children to hit the slopes for just $99, for the entire weekend.

Prozzäk: Forever 1999 Tour

  • What: Animated group Prozzäk are ready to blow the roof off of 2017 with their upcoming Canadian “Forever 1999” tour.

Spring Lights

  • What: After a long winter, experience illuminations, performance, and community; all under a canopy of cherry blossoms. This is a time to appreciate the ephemerality and beauty of nature. Featuring dance performances choreographed by Heather Laura Gray, and a musical soundscape by Adham Shaikh. Event is weather dependant.

Choir! Choir! Choir! at the Vancouver Planetarium

  • What: Choir! Choir! Choir! will be filling the Vancouver Planetarium with music on April 15, with 250 spots per show open for those wishing to join in on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here or David Bowie’s Space Oddity.

Easter at the Cannery

  • What: The Easter Salmon makes its annual return this year to hide eggs for the little ones to find throughout the historic cannery. At 10:30 am, The Great Salmon “Egg” Hunt will start and repeat every 30 minutes throughout the day with the last egg hunt at 4:30 pm. There will also be Easter crafts, games and an interactive story-time suitable for kids ages 2 to 12 years old.

7th Annual Burke Mountain Community Easter Egg Hunt

  • What: A fun day of chocolate hunting at Galloway Park. Featuring live music, food trucks, firefighters and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. It also raises awareness and funds for local women’s shelter, Tri-City Transitions.
  • Where: Galloway Park – 3404 Galloway Ave, Coquitlam
  • When: April 14 from 10 am to 1 pm
  • Cost: Minimum $5 donation per family, all proceeds go to Tri-City Transitions.

Fairmont Vancouver Easter Afternoon Tea

  • What: Celebrate Easter in style with a two-day Easter themed Afternoon Tea featuring Fairmont’s fine tea blends, alongside savoury and sweet creations from the hotel’s in-house pastry shop. If the tiny tot wants to tag along, Fairmont offer Children’s Easter Tea, which includes kid-friendly tea sandwiches, scones, and delicious sweets.

Lonsdale Quay Easter Market

  • What: There will be local foods, crafters and artisans from the Lonsdale Artisan Farmers Market, as well as local vendors. An egg decorating workshop will be offered for a small fee.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Event at Creekside

  • What: Hippity Hoppity bounce your way through the egg hunt, games, crafts, and fun stations. For ages 0 to 5 with an adult.

Girls Rock Camp Vancouver Fundraiser at Grand Luxe Hall

  • What: Supermoon, Ashley Shadow, BB, Scum Laude and Old Girl team-up for a massive fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to Girls Rock Camp Vancouver, a non-profit organization that runs a week long summer camp for female identifying youths age 8 to 17.

Grandparent and Family Easter Egg Hunt

Township 7 Vineyards and Winery’s Easter Festival

Easter Egg Hunt and Scramble at Fort Langley National Historic Site

  • What: Little bunnies can complete the all-ages scavenger hunt that will take you exploring around the fort and earn treats as they go. At set times, children 5 and under can also participate in the “Egg Scramble,” where they will be divided by age and will find as many eggs as they can on the giant map of British Columbia. Complimentary admission for Canada 150.

Easter at the Market

  • What: The Easter Bunny and the Easter egg hunt are back at Lonsdale Quay Market. Each Retail Level store and Olde World Confections will have different coloured eggs, and participants will need to collect one of each to redeem a treat bag filled with goodies (while supplies last).

18th Annual Pacific International Cup
