We won’t make you hunt too hard for these delicious and inventive Easter sweets and treats available for the holiday in Vancouver this year.
From whimsical animals sure to put a sparkle in any youngster’s eyes, to sophisticated treats for adults that make great gifts for Easter brunch or dinner hosts, here are eight delectable Easter sweet treats to find in Vancouver this year.
The artistry of chocolatier Greg Hook’s products at his Chocolate Arts is stunning, and their Easter-time Birdy creation is an utterly charming example of how whimsical and tasty a holiday treat can be. They are dark or milk chocolate handcrafted figurines in a dark chocolate nest with three foiled eggs.
Address: 1620 W 3rd Avenue, Fairview Slopes
Master Chocolatier Wim Tas of ChocolaTas in the Granville Island Public Market has created some beautifully fun Easter Chocolates including a stunning Chocolate Easter egg, filled with their beautiful and delicious milk and dark mini eggs.

At his namesake Chocolaterie and Patisserie in Burnaby Heights, Christophe Bonzon uses premium Swiss chocolate Carma in his stunning creations. For Easter this year, Bonzon is upping his contemporary egg game. He’s got a new coconut sculpture, as well as returning favourites (a lattice-wrapped egg, and an egg-within-an-egg).

At Bel Café for Easter they’ve got the Religieuse, a traditional French pastry named after the nuns that they resemble. They’re made of two choux pastry puffs filled with either a whipped dark chocolate and orange Valrhona ganache or calamansi crème finished with a white chocolate ganache, and each variation is also topped with a beautiful Valrhona chocolate décor. (Bonus: Bel Café has a beautiful gift box of house-made marshmallows perfect for a hostess gift.)
Address: 801 West Georgia Street, Downtown
Gourmand Macaron makes beautiful macarons that are sold all over Vancouver. For Easter this year they’ve got these adorable macaron Chicks made in collaboration with Sweet Nom. They’ll be sold in select locations for the holiday.

You really can’t go wrong if you’re getting Easter goodies from Purdys Chocolatier. In the spirit of Purdys’ long tenure as Vancouver’s premiere chocolate-makers, we’re picking this Vintage Rabbit Tin full of chocolates (but won’t fault you one bit for tossing a hand-molded chocolate bunny or two in your shopping bag). A tin like this makes a great keepsake and a lovely hostess gift.

Sometimes the grown-ups need an Easter treat, and these macarons from Sweet Bake Shop in Yaletown fit the bill with their seasonal flavours: Carrot Cake and Mini Egg.
